Xelajú MC drew their first friendly match in the United States

Xelajú MC A 1-goal draw against professional Premier FC in Chattanooga, in the first US friendly match.

In the encounter that took place at Howard High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is part of a run of several games ahead of the 2023 inaugural tournament.

The national champions led by Amarini Vilatoro put up a respectable starting team, with Jose Calderón in goal, along with Aaron Navarro, Jose Castaneda, Wedwin tepalan Hector Moreira, Julian Santos, Brandon de Leon, Minor de Leon, Juan Cardona, Brian Lemos and Harem Quezada.

Quetzaltico opened the scoring through Harem Quezada in the 28th minute, after playing a lab on a corner kick where Quezada was able to put the ball into the net with an accurate header.

The joy of the fans present at Quetzaltec did not last long, because a mistake at the start allowed the player to recover the ball, travel more than 30 meters in isolation and, with a predictable shot, send it to the bottom.

The second game will take place on Sunday, July 16 against Limeño GA in Atlanta, Georgia, at 4:00 PM.

Los Quetzaltecos, along with Comunicaciones, Municipal and Xinabajul are National League teams that have traveled to the United States for several warm-up friendlies.
