WhatsApp introduces a new feature that allows users Link your accounts to the web version using your phone number. This feature was spotted in the latest Android beta.
Currently, to use WhatsApp on the computer, it is necessary to open the application on the mobile phone and access the “Linked Devices” tab. Next, the QR code must be scanned on the screen of a PC or laptop using the phone’s camera.

There is an option calledLink to the phone number‘, indicating that users will be able to link their WhatsApp account to the web version without the need for scanning QR code.
Once this new option is selected, the platform will display an interface requesting an 8-character code. This code must be entered as soon as the notification of the mentioned number is received.
WABetaInfo noted that this feature is currently only available to beta testers who download the latest WhatsApp updates, and also suggested that it will be available to iOS users.
