Since my adolescence, I have a memory of lying on the sand on the beach in front of my house, for long periods, looking up at the sky and contemplating existential questions such as: “who am I?», «Why do I exist?», «Is it possible to be happy?», «How do I feel free?», «Is it possible to experience true love?», «How do I achieve inner peace?»
Over time, many of these questions have been answered thanks to my practice contemplation And knowledge acquired over more than twenty years in India, Spain, Argentina and Uruguay. In 1999, I had my first experience with meditation, when I was invited to participate in a meditation session to retreat At the Brahma Kumaris International Spiritual University, located between the mountains Himalayas.
For twenty-one days I learned ancient knowledge Raja yoga I began to take my first steps in the art of meditation. Later I came in contact with the philosophy of life Complete focus of mind, i'm in love. Twenty-four years later, the flame of zeal and enthusiasm for inner growth and practice of spirituality is still alive within me.
These teachings had a huge impact on my personal, family and professional life. I have developed greater Self confidenceI changed a lot of negative traits in my personality, I changed old habits and… Behavior patterns It weighed me down, silenced my mind, and all of this contributed to the long state of peace and happiness I experience today.
This does not mean that I do not experience moments of sadness, fear, or anger, but I now have the ability to accept them and give them space more quickly than in the past. to learn The art of meditation For me it was like finding the Philosopher's Stone of my own spiritual maturity and development. He had a very positive influence on all my thoughts, attitudes and words, and was the main inspiration behind the most important decisions in my life.
Since my last book, A practical guide to mindfulness for children, released in 2020, I never wrote again. the pandemic Covid and I decided to take a break and read, learn and try new things, and I was able to do that in a situation as different and unique as the pandemic.
Today, some time after this difficult event, a real interest has awakened within me to share with you some of the teachings I have received during my spiritual journey, which I have tried to summarize in seven lessons.
I hope that through this book you can turn on your light and see what is inside you more clearly Inner world. Notice if your state remained stable throughout the day or if you lost your position. If you are distracted by unimportant things or forget what gives meaning to your life. If you have Storms of useless thoughts Or you choose what you want to think about.
