Tegucigalpa, Honduras (2023-11-25). The Canadian team won the bronze medal and third place in the first U-17 Women’s World Championship, after winning last night in a close match in three sets to one (28-30, 28-26, 25-23 and 28-26). To the Dominican Republic, which was a worthy competitor.

The NORCECA U17 Championship was held in accordance with the qualification process for the inaugural edition of the FIVB U17 World Championship scheduled to be held in 2024.
The event’s three finalists Mexico, Puerto Rico and Canada earned a spot in the FIVB Women’s Under-17 World Championship in 2024. The Dominican Republic finished fourth.
The teams were divided into two groups, the first group included Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico, while the second group included Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.
