The launch of the 21st National Congress of FAMFYG, the 21st National Congress of Family Physicians and General Medicine and the 8th National Congress of Professors began this morning in the auditorium of the Ministry of Public Health in Posadas.
In the presence of Deputy Governor of the Province, Dr. Carlos Arce, and the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Oscar Alarcón, Director of General Coordination of the Farm Health Park. Natalia Rodriguez, President of the Missionary Society of General and Family Medicine, Dr. Viviana Ramirez Silvero, and President of the IPS Association, Dr. Lisandro Benmaur, officially introduced the event, which will take place from October 4 to 7 in the Knowledge Park.
Level 1 health teams will enhance their knowledge in prevention and health promotion. The conference’s thematic themes will be: comprehensive care at different stages of life, health management, occupational health, entrepreneurship, multiculturalism, interdisciplinarity, health and the environment: carbon footprint.
In this sense, Minister Alarcón highlighted that “the Province of Misiones is increasingly strengthening the field of general medicine, distinguishing ourselves with excellence in primary care, and viewing the Province as a center for research and scientific training.”
For his part, the Deputy Governor expressed his gratitude for the initiative that will be implemented, as it is a comprehensive medicine initiative that will allow the provision of care at the first level.
This event is supported by the Ministry of Public Health, the Municipality of Posadas, the Social Security Institute, the Catholic University of Las Misiones, the College of Physicians and the Federal Investment Board.
