Las Tunas. – Based on the premise of consolidating the connection with society and ensuring a comprehensive and quality education, the University Conference 2024 was held in the Casa de Altos Estudios in the province, in preparation for the international event to be held in the country’s capital, in February of the next calendar.
More than 80 presentations, grouped into seven seminars, summed up the scientific investigative work of an academic institution that stands, on its 28th anniversary, as one of the bastions of domestic scholarly activity.
In the seven seminars, professors and students analyzed and discussed aspects related to the quality and importance of university operations, internationalization and digital transformation, vocational training and university counseling.
Other discussions revolved around the role of students and trade union organizations and the university’s links to the production and services sector in the region.
The best works will participate in the Universities Congress 2024, which will be held from February 5 to 9 next year in the capital of the country, a space for scientific exchange, confrontation and presentation of the most important results of higher education in Cuba and the world.
