The National Institute for Migration recognized more than 1.1 million actions taken by foreigners in Mexico on International Migrants’ Day

MEXICO CITY, December 19, 2021. – From September 2020 to November 2021, foreigners in Mexico carried out 108 million and 183 immigration actions, for business, work, health, tourism, humanitarian causes and family unification, among others, the National Press Institute reported.

The National Institute of Migration highlighted 204,739 entry procedures that comply with the Immigration Act; They also provided a visa to enter the United States; 64 thousand 707 through a visitor visa without permission to carry out paid activities obtained electronically; 210228 with a US permanent resident card; 43847 with a visa from Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom and the countries that make up the Schengen Area, and 472 with an APEC Business Travel Card (APEC Business Travel Card, ABTC for its English acronym).

The National Institute of Migration also noted that as part of measures to promote temporary employment at the southern border of Mexico, the issuance of 80,865 immigration documents has been promoted for people coming from Mexico. Guatemala Belize: 75 thousand 537 Regional Visitor Cards (TVR), of which 73 thousand 71 thousand are Guatemalans, 676 thousand are Salvadorans, 765 are to Honduras, 25 are foreigners from thirteen countries, 5 thousand 328 Border Working Visitors (TVTF), all Guatemalans .
