As every year, Turespaña organizes different activities to make our country known among tour operators and travel agents from different parts of the world. This time, the Turespaña-USA-Canada – Spain Tourism 2023 congresses took place these days in Palma Mallorca where only 50 representatives of the Spanish tourism offer, including the province of Segovia, attended. .
Before these days begin, the tourism organization wanted to prepare some tours to show these professionals firsthand, other places in Spain, and on this occasion, the various Spanish tourism boards in the United States (New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles) and Canada (Toronto), chose among 75 companies will participate in the conference. Several companies are buying the tourist destination, Spain.
The province of Segovia was one of these, and for this reason the Segovia Provincial Council, through its Tourism District, in collaboration with the Junta de Castilla y León, organized a tour for these agents of the city of Segovia and the royal site of San Ildefonso. Turespaña chose Segovia for this tour due to the destination’s importance to North American buyers and the quality of the program offered.
In this way, the group consisted of about five agencies accompanied by an official guide from Segovia who did the guided tours. In addition, staff from the Tourism District of the Provincial Council of Segovia have accompanied the representatives of these agencies since the early morning on their visit to the Royal Site of San Ildefonso, where they have visited the La Granja Royal Glass Factory, the Technological Museum and its impressive collections of glass objects where they can see, understand and participate in the carving process and glass blown in kilns, by master glassmakers. Then they visited the Royal Palace of La Granja where they toured the inner gardens and finished the visit with a Segovian cuisine in the Parador de la Granja.
