NewJeans become the fastest K-Pop girl group to release multiple songs on the Official UK Singles Chart with “Super Shy”.

On July 14, the UK Official Charts (generally considered to be the UK’s equivalent to the US Billboard Charts) announced that the pre-release single from Newgins“Super Shy” debuted at number 59 on the Official Singles Chart, marking his highest charting yet.

Notably, NewJeans is the only female K-pop artist to have more than one song on the official singles chart in 2023, and only the second overall (after Pink black). The group previously entered the charts for the first time with their smash hit “Ditto” in January.

Not only is NewJeans now the fastest K-pop girl group to have more than one entry on the official singles chart, having accomplished the feat in less than a year of their career, but “Super Shy” is also at their first single to enter the top 60. ( “Diet” peaked at No. 95 earlier this year).
