National Engineering Day in the UK highlights a Chilean metro station and names the metro station in its honour

It is celebrated on November 1 National Engineering Day in the United KingdomIt is a day dedicated to recognizing the achievements and contributions of engineers around the world. And this list has that Chilean Barbarita Lara Martinez was recognized.

This celebration I organized Royal Academy of Engineering in the United KingdomIt aims to highlight the critical role that engineers play in improving everyday life, and at the same time, Inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and pursue careers in STEM fields.

This year, to mark the occasion, a thematic metro map was developed Highlights 274 engineers in 11 different topics.

The map is based on the famous design of the (original) London Underground map, Created by Harry Beck in 1933. Beck, an electrical draftsman, revolutionized cartography when he designed a London Underground map, inspired by circuit diagrams, creating a clear, easy-to-understand design that remains in effect to this day.
