Growing demand for the company’s smart, green, safe and accessible commuting solutions means that the electric TX taxi has now overtaken the diesel-powered TX4 model as the most popular black cab operating in London. They account for more than 40% of all black cabs in London, and there are more than 6,000 taxis on the streets of the capital.
As well as reaching the important milestone of 10,000 vehicles, this year also marks the 200th anniversary since the first Hackney carriage was licensed in London, and 75 years since the birth of the first ‘black cab’ as we know it, in the form of the FX3..on Over the decades, the TX has transformed into the vehicle it is today, providing sustainable transportation for drivers and passengers alike in more than 20 countries.
