Lasquetty offers 40 Chilean companies an investment “opportunity” for the Community of Madrid

The Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment, Javier Fernández Lasquite, this Tuesday presented the “opportunity” and potential investor of the Community of Madrid to 40 Chilean businessmen who were offered the region as an alternative when it comes to expanding apart from the usual commitment to the markets of the rest of Latin America or the United States.

“Chile has some very strong companies, they are in many of the most important sectors throughout Iberian America, and when these companies invest, they go to other Ibero-American countries or the United States. We are doing here specifically to tell them that Madrid is an opportunity,” he explained The Minister after his participation in a meeting organized by the Official Chamber of Commerce of Spain in Chile (Camaques).

Specifically, Fernández-Lasquetty attended this event in the Chilean capital that brought together 40 Chilean companies and representatives of the official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Chile, an organization that aims to strengthen companies from both countries, represent their partners before administrations and strengthen relations between them.

“Madrid is an opportunity to do a growing and dynamic business. Investors in this country are discovering that it is not just a place for tourism,” Fernandez-Laschetti said.

A meeting in which these Chilean companies showed, as the Minister of Madrid explained, “many of them very relevant”, “a very high receptivity” and an interest “to get to know Madrid”.

The official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Chile has more than 300 related companies, providing more than 140 thousand direct jobs and 19 thousand million dollars in investment in the Andean country.
