RIC, a Quebec SME specializing in the supply of railway equipment in Canada and internationally, is looking for a Commercial and Logistics Assistant to support the growth of its activities.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a close-knit and dynamic team, as well as opportunities for rapid progression.

The main duties of a Sales and Logistics Assistant are to act as a point of contact with customers and suppliers and to prepare and present presentations.

The position also requires assistance with receiving/shipping, order preparation, customs document preparation, and communication with carriers.

Depending on the employee’s abilities, the position can quickly evolve into business development, commercial or technical representation in Canada and internationally, or logistics coordination.

Candidate must be bilingual French/English, Spanish is an advantage. College or university education in engineering or business, or equivalent experience is required. A competitive salary and benefits will be offered commensurate with the candidate’s experience.

Technical support specialist

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to provide Level 3 technical support.
  • Respond to customer emails, phone calls and direct messages in a timely manner.
  • Providing support to customers who have technical problems.
  • Monitor progress of escalated issues to ensure customer contact.
  • Create documentation for problem solutions, including PDF guides or videos with audio.
  • Create and track bug tickets for software errors and issues.
  • Assist in creating templates, 2D and 3D codes, and part information.

Ratings:

  • Minimum of two years of higher education (university degree/professional certificate).
  • 2+ years of experience with CAD packages (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor, ProE, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing assembly drawings and data sheets.
  • Tech savvy and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and photo/video/audio editing software.
  • Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is an advantage (must be proficient in English).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High communication skills: written or spoken.
  • Must be able to work independently while maintaining a schedule.

Broadcast network operator

As a Transport Network Operator, you will play a vital role in our range of casual user services within our 24/7 Network Management Center (NMC). You will be responsible for delivering and managing radio broadcast services using Aldea Solutions’ state-of-the-art network infrastructure. This dynamic role involves working closely with internal departments and external clients to ensure smooth delivery.

Job Requirements:

  • education: A university technical diploma in communications/electronics or equivalent is required.
  • Technical knowledge : Proficiency in video and audio technologies, which includes analog and digital domains.
  • Computer skills : Proficiency in computer tools and programs.
  • Preferred skills : Experience in a broadcast systems environment is an advantage. Knowledge of MPEG (Transport Layer) video compression systems, communications standards (ATM/DS3/E3), video over IP (FTP, TCP, UDP, RTP) and high definition TV video signals (HD-ASI, HD-SDI). It’s a definite advantage.
  • Language proficiency : Excellent written and oral proficiency in Spanish and English is essential. Conversational French is a plus, and proficiency in additional international languages, such as Portuguese, is a plus.
  • Professionalism – Demonstrated ability to remain focused and professional under pressure, especially when working with clients.
  • International interaction: Ability to interact with international clients located around the world, including an empathetic approach to multicultural, linguistic and understanding issues.

  • work hours : Willingness to work 24/7, including shifts and night shifts.
