He noted that for nearly 26 years, Hidalgo has been seeking to host the possibility that when Mexico City’s airport has to be retrofitted, the entity will be considered as the main alternative.
“In the end, our intention was firmly established not in Tizayuca or Zapotlan, but in this region, with an international airport at the gates of our state; this will contribute to the development of Hidalgo,” he detailed.
He added that in the future, the highway between Mexico and Pachuca may continue to be expanded, but from Pachuca to AIFA; In addition, “if resources allow”, the Pachuca-Santa Lucia suburban train project can continue.
For his part, President Lopez Obrador announced the completion of the works, in addition, he confirmed, through the road works that they had undertaken, that “the airport can now be reached from anywhere in Mexico City”.
