The Tierra del Fuego Hockey Federation ended up contributing a total of 10 athletes, including players, to the Argentine hockey team. With this team, they will participate in the 2024 Pan American Specialized Championship, in the Canadian city of Calgary.
Within the national team, 8 players from our province were selected: Martina Navarro, Catalina Capello, Victoria Amaya, Francisca Pirola, Juliana Ríos, Lara Iriani, Camila Zuc and Natalia Boquero. On the men's side, Juan Elisegui and Gaston Rodriguez joined the Pan American Dream.
Let us remember that within the technical staff headed by Massimo Lanzao, there is another reference for hockey in our province, such as Professor Fabian Pérez, coach of the Colegio del Sur and the men's team in our province.
The tournament will be held from March 19 to 22, and gives one place to women and two places to men, for the 2025 World Cup.
The Albiceleste teams will make their debut with the women taking on the United States and the men taking on Guyana.
On March 22, all matches will be held. The women's final will be held at 22:15 (Argentina), then the men's final will be held at 23:30.
