Oceanman first arrives on the paradisiacal island of Curaçao

Fans of open water competitions will have a new date in Oceanman Curaçao, where athletes of all ages will be able to participate and enjoy the most important international swimming event that brings together swimmers from all over the world, especially from Colombia, which will be held next. October 7 and 8.

Oceanman has been implemented with great success in more than thirty countries such as: Spain, Indonesia, Greece, Switzerland, Italy, France, Ecuador, Mexico and Colombia in cities such as Cartagena and San Andrés. Specifically, Colombia has established itself as one of the most competitive nations in this type of sporting event, demonstrating the great skills, passion and stamina of Colombian swimmers.

The event will take place for the first time in the Caribbean Sea, Curaçao is the destination of choice thanks to its natural beauty, over 35 gorgeous beaches and clear blue waters ideal for swimming. The competition will take place on the famous Cas Abao beach, which has very calm waters and offers all the conditions for this great water adventure.

Participants of the event will be able to participate in categories such as; OCEAN KIDS in which children from 7 to 12 years old will run distances of 300 or 500 meters, the sprint distance is 2 kilometers, half the ocean with 5 kilometers and OCEANMAN 10 kilometers, this last distance is the Queen’s test. This amateur race is aimed at experienced swimmers, but swimmers can participate.

Currently, Colombia has a world champion in Oceanman who is David Carrillo and according to statistics, 55% of the participants are men and 45% are women respectively, which shows that every day more people join this type of sporting event. The winners of each category in Oceanman Curaçao will be able to participate in the Oceanman Grand Final rankings that take place once a year, this time in Bali.

The event will be supported by Xportiva, an organization specializing in the design and production of high-level sporting events, which has chosen the island as an ideal destination in the Caribbean to hold the competition.

Oceanman has established itself as an event aimed at the whole family, in Colombia there are participants with an average age of 35 to 60, which reflects the high physical and competitive level of Colombians. This edition expects more than 300 swimmers, mostly Colombians and foreigners from different countries such as: Ecuador, Costa Rica, Canada, Uruguay, Venezuela, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Ukraine, United States.
