Joe Rogan is no longer the most listened to podcast on Spotify – Metro World News

Popular podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” has lost its spot as the most listened to podcast on streaming platform Spotify.

Over the past decade, Joe’s podcast has established itself as the biggest podcast in the world. The program attracted a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, who engaged in deep conversations about serious and bizarre topics.

In an effort to expand his reach, Joe Rogan has partnered with Spotify in recent years. In 2020, he signed a huge deal with the streaming service that gave them exclusivity on his shows.

However, Rogan isn’t the only show in Spotify’s catalog that has managed to attract attention. Recently, the platform has signed deals with other popular shows, including Call Her Daddy, The Louis Theroux Podcast, and even Trevor Noah’s new show, What Now?

Trevor’s rise

Specifically, it was Trevor Noah’s new program that momentarily dethroned Rogan.

The former host of The Daily Show debuted with great excitement, hitting No. 1 on the Spotify charts and dropping The Joe Rogan Experience to second place.

This situation occurred in key markets of the UK and US, where Trevor Noah’s show caused a stir among listeners.

While this is true, it’s important to note that their podcast has been in this situation before, always regaining the top spot when there’s a hiatus due to a lack of episode releases.

The only thing different this time is that Joe hasn’t released three episodes since November 9, which makes his exodus even more significant.
