CRHIAM and Seremi de Ciencia de la Macrozona Centro Sur have launched a community photography competition

The aim of the photography competition is to take the best photos that contain water resources as the protagonist.”water through the lens‘, an initiative organized by the Center for Water Resources for Agriculture and Mining (CRHIAM), jointly with the Ministerial Regional Secretariat for the Greater South Central Region of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation.

The competition is part of the month of science, which is the period in which our country invites us Think about the contribution that scientific research makes to society. For this reason, this initiative seeks to show the different assessments and perceptions that the community has regarding the water cycle through photography, through original images, through which the water cycle can be captured as a central focus.

“We invite society to capture this vital element with their mobile phones or cameras, which is present in different moments of our lives. Often words cannot express its beauty, so we hope through images that we think of its role in our lives and the role of the planet,” says Director CRHIAM, Dr.. Gladys Vidal.

“I want to invite the entire community to participate in the Water Through the Lens competition. This is a great opportunity to express in different ways the importance of water, and its use, from a more artistic point of view, which is why we wanted to frame this activity in month of knowledgewhich we will celebrate as the Ministry of Science during the month of October,” adds Dr. Sophia Valenzuela Ogila, Seremi for Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation in the Greater South Central Region.
