Robert Thomas, Chargé d’Affairs at the US Embassy in Santo Domingo, is in the Dominican Republic where he showed his magic in the northwestern part of the country.

“I’m here in the northwest of the Dominican Republic, having had two shocking and action-packed days,” Thomas wrote through a post on his Twitter account.

Mr. Thomas is a career diplomat who has worked in Canada (twice), Mexico, Ivory Coast and Mauritania. His diplomatic service within the United States included various positions in the Office of Consular Affairs and Executive Secretary of the Department of State. It was also published by the State Department as part of the Haiti Crisis Response Team in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake.
