Toroko Marquez noted that during the first eight months of the year, the arrival of American tourists by air reached 8 million and 925,000 tourists, which means an increase of 37.5 percent over 2021, when 6 million 489,000 tourists arrived, also exceeding 20.5 percent. The arrivals in 2019 amounted to 7 million and 406 thousand.
He added that the arrival of Canadian tourists between January and August 2022 amounted to one million and 30 thousand tourists, an increase of 927.9% from the 100 thousand 199 tourists who arrived in 2021. It separates them from the arrival of those who were captured in 2019 by 35.8%, who numbered one million and 605 thousand.
