The Medical Association of La Plata celebrated its 112th anniversary

In the presence of the authorities and leaders of local medicine, the Medical Association of La Plata on Friday held a ceremony honoring 112 years of history, within the framework of a day that included piano concerts and a review of the significance of the centenary of a local institution.

The ceremony took place this afternoon, when La Plata partners, professionals, former directors and medical leaders led the celebration at 50 headquarters between 2 and 3, to celebrate the institution’s 112th anniversary. “Over the years, this space has devoted a daily effort to updating scientific knowledge for the local medical community,” said association president Cristina de los Angeles Rojas.

Rojas, accompanied by peers from the Board of Directors, stressed that “the association was born with a clear commitment to promoting, generating and disseminating scientific knowledge and the most effective and safe diagnostic and treatment procedures”; “Today we want to not only confirm this goal, but also deepen our social commitment, and contribute to better health outcomes,” he added.

The celebration was marked by the performance of soprano Alicia Bugnano Korn, niece of Alejandro Korn, founder of the association. In addition, fifty people enjoyed a piano concert given by local musician Miguel Angel Cagliani. While they concluded the day of festivities by cutting toast and traditional cake.
