Thus, “ULaB invites registrations from December 1, 2023 until the 22nd of that month. Then a second phase from Monday, February 5 to February 9, 2024.”

He added that studies for the 2024 academic year will begin on April 1. “We feel lucky and blessed to be able to announce the start of our medical and bachelor’s degrees in nursing,” he said.

He stressed: “We had the advantage that we began working silently for a long time, with the support of various competent authorities in the regional government,” noting that “it was very useful in achieving this goal.”

At the same time, he pointed to concluding agreements to implement academic and professional practices. He stressed: “In March of this year, we celebrated a framework cooperation agreement and specific agreements with the Ministry of Human Development.”

The Formosa government also “provided us with the budget to purchase books, medical equipment and all items, along with the building it granted us as a loan to operate the College of Health Sciences.”

He in turn stressed that the UPLaB is part of the Argentine university system, and for this reason “it is on par with any other institution and participates in the meetings of the National Inter-University Council (CIN)”.

He stressed that the certificates granted have official recognition and national validity, as stipulated in the Higher Education Law No. 24521.

Currently, UPLaB has five majors: medicine and bachelor’s degrees in nursing, also engineering in agricultural production, bachelor’s degrees in environmental sciences and bachelor’s degrees in tourism.

For his part, Dr. Julian Pepollini, Director of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UPLaB, speaking to AGENFOR, said that as of December 1, “anyone living in Argentina, not just those from Formosa and Formosinas,” will be able to complete the registration process for any Jobs offered by the House of Higher Education.

Therefore, “anyone who has completed secondary school, with the corresponding certificate, or also with proof that he has completed his studies, can register without any problem, because that is a document issued by the educational unit itself.”

In addition to this, there must be other requirements that will be described on the university’s website: uplab.edu.ar, as well as on the social networks owned by the institution headquartered in Laguna Blanca.

Finally, he specified that in the case of a bachelor’s degree in nursing, the course includes two stages: “The first three years that end with a university nursing degree, in which you can now work. Then an additional two years to earn a bachelor’s degree, allowing for other careers, including working as an educator, health center director, program director, and others.”

Meanwhile, the medical degree lasts for six years, with “the last degree being purely practical” and developed “in the hospital part”, as “the first five years are more theory-focused”.
