WhatsApp A. began publishing job Which allows users to listen music with others simultaneously using screen sharing, which is now available to some beta testers Android.
Screen sharing arrived on the platform developed by Meta in August last year, and allows users to share what is displayed on their panel during video calls with others, such as a video or an app. This is done through the “Share” button available on desktop and in mobile “apps”.
The company has begun working on a new ability for this function, which allows users to listen to audio or music simultaneously during a video call, while activating the screen sharing option, as WABetaInfo announced in December.
This portal has now discovered that WhatsApp has started implementing this feature in the latest beta version of the Android operating system 2.24.1.19, which can now be tested by downloading this version through the Google Play Store.
To access this format, you must initiate a call and choose the screen sharing option. Thus, the audio played on this user's device will also reach the rest of the call participants or the other interlocutor, in the case of a one-on-one chat.
From WABetaInfo they point out that thanks to this function, participants can synchronize their video playback experiences, by sharing video and audio, so they can create a virtual movie watching session.
Although this feature is only accessible to beta testers, it is expected to reach more users using Android devices in the coming weeks.
