UTCJ students return from Canada after a 4-month stay

After a four-month stay at the University of Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada, where they studied specialized studies according to their academic profiles, two students from the Technological University of Ciudad Juarez (UTCJ) were reintegrated into their study plan on campus. .

Luis Kilian Chavez Santiago and Rubén Holguín Cortez had the opportunity to interact with a large number of people, in a different academic system and with a first-class infrastructure.

The Dean of UTCJ, Carlos Ernesto Ortiz Villegas, received them to congratulate them and talk about the experiences they had during their stay in the North American country.

“We are very happy that you came and shared your experiences with us; they came very happy because in addition to having specialized classes in their areas, they met classmates from different parts of the world, which helps them to enrich their academic preparation and connect with other cultures,” he commented.

He stressed that it is very important for the youth of this university to have opportunities to travel abroad, such as those currently available in France and Canada, so it is expected that this movement will continue for the benefit of the institution’s youth.

Diana Elizabeth Villaseñor, responsible for the Department of Internationalization and Languages, explained that once students finish the student mobility process, they receive a diploma indicating the subjects they studied and their grades, to validate them at UTCJ.

“We welcome students Louis and Kilian, majoring in mechatronics and business innovation and marketing, respectively,” the official said.

Villaseñor explained that since February 2023, young people have entered into an invitation to study abroad, submitted administrative documents and had their personal files sent to the University of Regina for analysis of their English level and letter of reasons. Once approved, they are eligible to receive financial resources for travel.
