Bad taste in the mouth before Qatar 2022 for the stars and stripes
The United States national team will arrive at the World Cup feeling bad in their mouths for not being able to win the two friendlies they had before the World Cup.
Greg Berhalter’s side, which showed ups and downs during the CONCACAF qualifiers, met with Saudi Arabia who showed they have the ability to compete in the upcoming World Cup.

The Saudi regime at times seemed to surprise the stars and stripes team based on offensive variables and rapid breakaway, schemes that could put the Mexican team, one of its rivals in Qatar 2022, in a quandary.
The United States had very few scoring opportunities. Most notable was Paul Areola’s shot in the final minutes, but his shot was loosened from the left side of the opponent’s goal.
Thus, the United States will reach the World Cup balancing one defeat and one draw in its World Cup preparatory matches.

For its part, Saudi Arabia will reach the international tournament without a single win in friendly matches with two losses, two draws and no goals.
With this result, the United States will exit its ranks before focusing once again on determining the official team that will compete in Qatar against Wales, England and Iran, their rivals in Qatar.
