Spotify, the world’s largest online audio platform, announced the release of Increase subscription prices for your ad-free plans For the first time in over a decade.

This rate increase will apply to many of the countries in which it is located, including United States, United Kingdom, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Colombiaamong other markets.
As the company explained, this adjustment responds to the music company’s attempt to increase its profitability, continue to innovate, and “Giving value to fans and artists” that are part of the platform.

Columbia’s new plan rates
According to the Spotify website, these are the prices that will start to apply in the country:
Individual plan: $16,900 per month.
Two plans: $21,400 per month (two accounts).
family plan: $26,400 per month (up to six accounts).
academic: $9,300 per month.
