The activity will take place on Paseo del Padre on November 24, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The event will include workshops, talks, interviews and a project exhibition and will seek to stimulate debate about everyday science. Proposals can be submitted until November 13.
Among the activities will be a display of projects that participated in the Regional Science Fair, Educational Fair 2023 and other UNSL works. Live activities from the Science Club will also be organized Explorers in action and the Science Space at Juan Pascual Pringles Normal School (ENJPP). In addition, there will be interviews with science leaders and workshops where everyone can build their own artifacts.
Regarding this event, Monica González, from the Faculty of Physical, Mathematical and Natural Sciences (FCFMyN), expressed that it is very interesting for UNSL to occupy unusual spaces and reach an audience that does not generally come to the institution. “We also want there to be interaction between high school and university students, and we believe that a very good synergy can arise from there.”He said.
On the other hand, he highlighted that it is important for people to be able to understand the science of everyday life, appropriate concepts and ask questions, encourage curiosity and know where to look for information.
Anyone wishing to submit proposals should complete the following Registration Form Until Monday, November 13. The Club will evaluate the proposal and, if it lacks a scientific basis, will primarily look for professionals who can complete this project.
The event will be attended by schools from the south of the province that have organized fundraising activities and are also receiving support from municipal and legislative authorities to be able to pay for the conversion costs. A more comprehensive program will be offered to these participants, where in the morning they will visit UNSL laboratories and facilities, at nap time they will visit a brewery (since they brew beer at school based on UNSL demonstration projects) and in the afternoon, they will be part of the activity on Paseo del Padre .
