Rodriguez signed an agreement with the College of Medicine

Mayor Alejandra Rodriguez signed a mutual cooperation agreement with the UNT School of Medicine. The aim is to develop joint actions, training projects and academic training.

“This year there were already students who had a very good experience and we hope that this will continue, because as the students integrate we train human resources that adapt to the needs of the community. Throughout the entire study period, there is a curricular space for integration where students gradually adapt to the health system, followed by training Internships in peri-urban areas and then internships in rural areas. The fact that there is space here is an advantage for both institutions. “On the one hand, we make our students, as I told you, integrate early into society, but these students will become After future doctors.

Joint efforts will provide information on programs and working methods to collaborate as society advances, especially for people in vulnerable situations. The academic training of the college’s human resources in the services provided by the Health Directorate will also be enhanced.

The signing of this agreement means more comprehensive training with a greater community perspective for students, and for the municipality, it represents the opening of spaces and the creation of tools to work together.

“We are pleased and honored that our institution welcomes first-year students at the Faculty of Medicine. It is a new subject that the Faculty has incorporated to train children from the beginning in regional and decentralized work and to learn about public health services. We have already implemented this initiative throughout the year, as the boys worked in our municipal clinic, in the areas Different, in vaccination, in treatment, in guarding, in offices, and monitoring, because of course they are boys who are training.” noted Laura Macchione, Director of Public Health.
