Recent Danish data on trading behaviour

On the other hand, declines were evident in Panama with a variation of -91% and a negative contribution of -7.9 percentage points, while in the Netherlands this type of trade decreased by 68.8% with a negative contribution of -15.5 percentage points.

It should be noted that in the period from January to May, the foreign trade of goods in the free zones showed an increase of 29.1%, with total invoices of $1.5 million, compared to $1.1 million recorded in the same period of the previous year.

Looking at the goods that entered the country, it recorded a decrease of 27.1%, increasing from $256 million in May 2022 to $186.5 million in the same month of 2023.

This behavior in imports has been explained by
ZFP (-28.9%) which contributed negative 13.9 percentage points and ZFPE (-25.5%) which had negative 13.3 percentage points of overall variance (-27.1%).

On the other hand, it isThe Statistical Office revealed that the trade balance of the free zones in the country recorded a surplus of $174.1 million for the fifth month of the year. Compared to $107.7 million in the same month of 2022.

At the year-to-date level, the balance showed a surplus of $721.5 million, compared to $227.5 million in the same period in 2022.
