Air Canada today inaugurated operations on the Monterey-Toronto route that will be operated by Airbus A220 aircraft, with business and economy class options, facilitating connectivity between the two destinations.
Likewise, Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte (OMA) reports that this route provides passengers with a non-stop experience and generates travel opportunities to more than 50 destinations operated by Air Canada from Toronto.
The flight from Toronto to Monterrey will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while the flights from Monterrey to Toronto will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Today the airport serves 57 direct destinations operated by 15 airlines, including 17 international ones.
“We are proud to be the first and only airline to connect Monterrey to Canada and enhance its food, cultural and business offerings,” said Luis Noriega Bennett, Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Air Canada.
For his part, Ricardo Dueñas, General Director of OMA, noted that Monterrey continues to strengthen its communications network with international routes that contribute to the economic growth of Nuevo León, thus benefiting tourism and business travel.
Maricarmen Martínez Villarreal, Minister of Tourism of Nuevo León, highlighted that the new direct route to Toronto, Monterrey strengthens its position as a hub for northern Mexico and southern Texas, providing greater international connectivity for passengers.
