Regarding the reasons for choosing this path for his personal life and sports career, the man from the city of Chara said: “I am leaving because I am not satisfied with the support for sports in the country, it is a very desolate area. There is always space for international events due to lack of resources. The situation in the country itself is complex. There it allows me to continue my university studies and now allows me to continue training, as well as being with world-class athletes. This international connection is important when competing in athletics.“.

This will be Ripa’s life in California: “I’ll be traveling in September, maybe after the U-20 World Cup if I qualify. That’s when the cross-country season starts which is good in that respect. They give me accommodation in university housing, and I eat in the university dining room with other students and athletes. “I have to come back every year from June to August, when the university is closed for vacation,” he said.
