In early November, Indo-Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya shared an alleged video of pro-Khalistani supporters in Surrey claiming to want to cause trouble at the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Hindu temple there.

“According to some reports, Khalistan supporters verbally abused a Sikh family outside a Sikh gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, last week,” he wrote. Now it seems that the same Khalistan group wants to create trouble at the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Hindu temple in Surrey.”

Arya stressed that Hindu temples have continued to be subjected to attacks in recent years, and noted that “Hindu temples have been subjected to many attacks in recent years. “Hate crimes are being committed against Hindu Canadians.”

Moreover, in August this year in Canada, extremist elements vandalized a Hindu temple with Khalistan referendum posters. In April this year, the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple was defaced with anti-India graffiti in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Meanwhile, in February, Ram Mandir Street in Mississauga, Canada, was defaced with anti-India graffiti. In January, a Hindu temple in Brampton was defaced with anti-India graffiti, sparking anger among the Indian community.
