San Francisco, Calif.–President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador He will hold a bilateral meeting this afternoon with… Justin TrudeauThe Prime Minister of Canada, in San Francisco, California, within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum.

Upon his arrival to the meeting and shaking hands with his Canadian counterpart, the Mexican President said:

“We have a very good relationship with the Prime Minister and with the brotherly Canadian people. He said: “This is the statement that was issued by us.”

In response, the Canadian Prime Minister commented, raising his right thumb: “We are very good friends.”

When asked by the Mexican press if he would travel to Canada soon, President López Obrador confirmed the trip in reference to the upcoming North American Leaders Summit to be held in that country.

He said: Yes, we have a pending meeting.
