The Gophers have been chosen to return to the burrow – El Sol de Hidalgo

The four Pachuca players called up to the Mexico national team broke ranks on Sunday to return to the Tuza burrow and continue their preparations for Clausura 2022.

In the Under-17 category, the only person called up was Alice Soto, who witnessed action in their two friendlies against the Canadian national team as the three contenders finished a long streak of official matches unbeaten against Mexico, which topped Sunday. By Anna Galindo narrowly fell in their first match, and ended in a goalless draw.

Both meetings were preparatory and took place at the facilities of the Mexican Football Association’s High Performance Center (CAR) in what was the eighth focus of the year in this category.

For their part, Sofia Martinez, Paula Manrique and Andrea Balcazar broke ranks in the seventh focus of the year, and the players called up by Maribel Dominguez concluded their preparations at the end of the morning session for the day.

The national team will meet again the following year, for the CONCACAF Under-20 Women’s Championship to be held from February 25 to March 12, 2022 in the Dominican Republic.

In this competition, Pachuca players will seek to stay on the team and travel to the Dominican Republic.
