The FalcoTrail returns to Cehegín on December 2

Quípar CD from Cehegín Brings back one of the most anticipated sporting events for regional and national road running fans. Registration has been opened for the four contested routes and distances (11 km, 22 km, 46 km, 72 km).

On December 2, Sehejin will once again host the Valcotriel Race, one of the most important events on the national mountain racing scene.

The sports event organized by CD Quípar, in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Cehegín City Council, led by José Antonio Zafra, will once again unite sports, nature and the exceptional historical heritage of the North-West municipality. The Sierra del Cuébar and Sierra del Porete will witness one of the most important sporting events in the region, hosting more than 1,200 participants coming from a large part of the national territory and from various European countries (United Kingdom, Netherlands, Russia, Norway, Estonia, France, Hungary…).

Runners may participate in any of the four contested modes; Promo (11 km), Intermediate (22 km), Marathon (46 km), and Ultra (72 km).

Andrés Aznar, president of CD Quípar, the club organizing the race, expressed his hope for the new edition of the sporting event: “Last year, the race was a real success in every sense of the word. We are certain that this year we will achieve excellence.”

The Quibar Sports Club and the Murcia Region Athletics Federation present the celebration of the Murcia Region Short Track Championship in 2023, both absolute and individual by categories in average (22 km).. Likewise, this test will serve as a qualifying criterion for the formation of the national team for the Murcia region that will participate in the next Spanish Running Championships organized by the independent federations in 2024.

The FalcoTrail race has become a standard in regional and national sports for running enthusiasts. The test is part of the ITRA National League Circuits and the UTMB Index race group, as well as the Tour Trail FAMU and UltraTrail Tour FAMU circuits.

The registration period will remain open until November 30 at 8:00 PM or until the registration limit has been exhausted. Every day, more Trail Running fans join the event, for which the president of the sports club announced that registration could be closed early, “as has already happened in previous years’ editions.”
