The medical school has begun the process of returning to good attendance through its hybrid learning spaces. They allow the physical presence of small groups to be combined with the remote presence of the rest of the subjects simultaneously.
Given the pedagogical and technological adaptation these spaces require, work is underway to test the system that includes integrated work between the faculty, the Academic Advisory Unit and the Education Technology of Science. Assisting the Department of Health and Information Technology.
On Friday, August 13 of this year, the first examination was carried out with the development of the subject “Surgical Kinesiology, Para-pathological Pathology”, corresponding to the third year of the Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Physical Medicine. On this occasion, 30 students were present in person and 57 connected remotely through video conference.
The methodological strategy developed was the clinical case study, which from the first four months worked on integrating two related content that appears in the case. In addition, I worked to identify online images and applications such as Mentimeter and Padlet that allowed existing students to physically interact with students remotely.
Given the value that attendees gain in this healthcare context, this type of method will be used at different moments of subject program integration.
