Logroño, October 30 (European Press) –
The scientific and technological workshops included in the #Divulgaciencia23 program have already started. More than 2,000 students from primary to high school participate in these workshops, which are held during school hours at the Caja Rioja La Merced Foundation Center. Divulgaciencia23 is an initiative organized by the Caja Rioja Foundation, with support from CaixaBank and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, FECYT.
Fundación Caja Rioja organizes science workshops for school children of different educational levels, science workshops in English and workshops catering to the diversity of students.
Carlos Fuentes explains: “By implementing these workshops, we seek to achieve several goals, including bringing science closer to the school audience by complementing the training provided in educational centers, awakening scientific curiosity in students and stimulating their critical spirit and thinking.” Director of the Caja Rioja Foundation.
Three 30-minute workshops and a 45-minute guided demonstration of scientific and technological projects are proposed and carried out simultaneously by the groups.
All workshop contents are adapted to the students’ educational level and consist of explanations and illustrative experiments that help understand the scientific content. For primary education, the three main topics covered in this edition are combustion reactions, light, and color chemistry.
For ESO, Baccalaureate and Courses, the workshops are related to content related to physics, chemistry, biology, geology, natural sciences and experimental sciences in general, which appear in the curricula of the different levels.
Online workshops
Aware of the limited space, the Caja Rioja Foundation is launching for the second year in a row on its website a series of online workshops targeting primary education, ESO, baccalaureate and FP.

“Divulgaciencia has already reached 17 years of age. This initiative, born to bring science and technology closer to society, without any technicalities, has reached maturity thanks to the trust of the educational centres, the Riojan community and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, FECYT, which explained Carlos Fuentes, Director of the Foundation. Caja Rioja, said that “the project still believes it is a good project and deserves support.”
Divulgaciencia23 returns with the healthy spirit with which she was born; In terms of creating scientific calls; On the other hand, society realizes the value of science, because science surrounds us and science helps societies develop.
Divulgaciencia is a program organized by the Caja Rioja Foundation, sponsored by CaixaBank and supported by the Spanish Science and Technology Foundation FECYT.
