Potosi’s driver Ricardo Cordero, along with his navigator Marco Hernandez, had another good performance in Canada, although this time they were unable to crown as the 399 Tactical Team was 0.1 seconds away from winning the Rally Quebec Tour de Portneuve.
The duo of Granados won Miguel Marin Jr. Gabriel, in second place was the team of Potosi Cordero and third place was Canadian Dobby Philip – Doby Eric.
It should be noted that the race has taken nearly 20 years to return to the country of Maple Leaf and has done so in an extraordinary way with this race being part of the FIA NACAM Rally Championship with the best advocates of Mexico, the United States and the host Canada.
Cordero practically fought the entire rally, until they had a problem with one of their tyres, which wasted valuable time making them fall behind, although they struggled to improve but it wasn’t enough.
“The truth is we pushed with everything we had, gave everything, we won the rally comfortably, unfortunately we had a flat tire, we worked quickly to change it, but we lost two minutes, we had a great comeback, we were way behind,” Cordero commented. Victory in 0.1 seconds.
The multiple winner of the Panamericana spoke about the recent extension of the FIA NACAM Rally Championship in which they, with a 4-point advantage, sought to stay on top.
“Team 399 Tactical MGR Maredutti GHR Motorsport will take on the entire Sierra Juarez Rally in Oaxaca and the Montanas Rally in Jalisco to win the championship twice,” Cordero said.
Cordero and Hernandez will return to Mexico to focus on the next date of the National Rally to be held in the last week of July in the Mexican lowlands.
