The Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN) has successfully completed its participation in the Global Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Forum, called P3 2023, organized in Toronto (Canada), in which it presented a large group of 55 PPP and With assets worth approximately US$15,000 million, it will be awarded in the period 2024-2026.
Organized by the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP), P3 2023 is one of the most influential conferences in the world, focused on the growth and improvement of public-private partnerships.
It brought together leaders and influencers from the public and private sectors as they explored challenges and opportunities, as well as new trends, approaches, lessons learned and adapting to new environments in relation to public-private partnerships.
The presentation of the PPP project portfolio in Peru was made by Renzo Rojas, PROINVERSIÓN Project Manager, who participated in the forum through his presentation “Peru: Encouraging bridging the infrastructure gap through public-private partnerships“.
The official stressed that Peru has a portfolio of 55 PPP projects and asset projects, worth approximately US$15,000 million, for the period 2024-2026. In next year’s portfolio, the projects include the Sierra Longitudinal Highway Section 4, the Peripheral Ring Road and the Ancon Complex. Industrial Area, the Huancayo-Huancavelica Railway, the Trujillo Water Treatment Plant, the San Juan de Marcona Port Terminal, electricity transmission line projects, and others.
While in the period 2025-2026, the projects of Chinicas, the Comprehensive Water System of the Cancay-Lampaique Valley, the Hipolito Unanue Hospital, and the operation and maintenance of the Cajamarca Hospital, among other important projects, will stand out.
After the portfolio presentation, PROINVERSIÓN Project Manager, Renzo Rojas, held various information meetings with representatives of companies interested in in-depth learning about the PPP project portfolio and investment opportunities offered by the country; He met with representatives of Epcor, Tony Gee, Toraza Zenith, Aecon, Transdev, Matrix Solutions Inc., Pomerleau Capital and the Canadian Trade Foundation.
“Our participation was satisfactory, after presenting the project portfolio, we received representatives of Canadian and international companies who expressed their interest in the investment opportunities offered by our country,” confirmed PROINVERSIÓN Project Director, Renzo Rojas.
