On October 6, La Gazeta de Costa Rica published the decree in which Honduras was included among the countries to which it had begun submitting visa applications.

This decision surprised the Honduran government, which has implemented the principle of reciprocity since last Tuesday – October 10 – as it, for its part, began requesting an entry visa for Costa Rican citizens to enter the territory of Honduras, while denying them passage if they do not have a visa.
