Costa Rica is on the cusp of hosting the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and everything is ready for the draw on Thursday that will determine the location of the groups.
The raffle will begin at 1:00 pm at the National Theatre. The fans and the 16 participating teams will meet their rivals in the fight for the coveted trophy.
The show will be hosted by Joanna Solano, who will share the stage with two of Tico’s top football stars, Shirley Cruz and Paolo Cesar Wanchope. Meanwhile, Jaime Yarza will be director of the FIFA tournaments division.
The teams that qualified for the event are: Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Spain, USA, France, Ghana, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Nigeria, Netherlands and Republic of Korea, in addition to Costa Rica as hosts. country.
The lottery will start with four pots numbered 1 through 4, containing the teams’ names.
Costa Rica will be in Pot 1 along with the top seed and will be placed in Pool One as the host country.
