Bust of Yuri Gagarin Donated to the Bogotá Planetarium – Science – Life

On April 12, 1961, mankind managed to take a huge step. Soviet space pilot Yuri Gagarin, inside of Vostok 1, became the first human to leave the atmosphere and orbit the Earth. This year marks 60 years since this great moment that inspired generations across the planet to continue exploring the frontiers of space.

Within the framework of this celebration, Dr Bogota Planetarium Received a donation of a bust of Gagarin from the International Public Charity Dialogue of Cultures – United World.

A bust of the Russian cosmonaut will remain in the Bogota Planetarium thanks to the management Embassy of the Russian Federation in Colombia and the Idartes Internacional Project, a window to the world and to the stage.
