“Better Call Saul”, “Bridgerton”, “The Crown” and “Unorthodox” are some of the series selected for the 2020 AFI Awards (at the Spanish American Film Institute) that pick the top 10 “Most Acting” films and TV shows of the year.
With respect to FilmsNetflix won four out of 10 awards like “Da 5 Bloods” (Spike Lee), “Mother of the Blues” (George C. Wolf), “Mank” (David Fincher), and “The Chicago 7 Trial” (Aaron Sorkin) while Amazon studios won two awards for filmmakers for the first time: “One Night in Miami” (Regina King) and “Sound of Metal” (Darius Marder), Variety Portal reported.
The other four spaces were distributed among six studios: “Judas and Black Christ” (Warner Bros. ‘Shaka King), “Minari” (A24’s Lee Isaac Chung) and “Nomadland” (Chloé Zhao d Searchlight Pictures).

Netflix also dominated the series’ category with “Bridgerton”, “The Crown”, “Lady’s Gambit” and “Funky”. The remaining spots were for AMC movies “Better Call Saul” and “The Woodpecker” by Showtime, HBO’s Lovecraft Country, Disney Plus’s The Mandalorian, “Mrs. America” and “Ted Lasso” on Apple TV Plus.
