President Donald Trump used an 8-year-old supporter of his in Louisiana to make fun of Joe Biden’s son’s alleged corruption scandal in Ukraine.
Trump was speaking to the rally about the Bidens when he noticed a young supporter in the audience.
The President pointed into the crowd and said: “How old is your son? How old is that young man there? How old are you”
A man responded: “He’s eight!”
That’s when Donald Trump declared: “Eight. Let me tell you he’s 8. He knows energy better than Joe Biden’s son.“
The audience burst into laughter.
President Trump was referring to the fact that Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, was hired onto the board of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company, with zero experience in energy or Ukrainian business.
When asked about his lack of qualifications during a recent interview, Hunter declared that he doesn’t know if anyone on the board is qualified to be there. He also made it clear that the only reason he got the job in the first place is that he was then-Vice President Biden’s son.
Donald Trump flew into Monroe, Louisianna on Wednesday night to host a campaign rally for GOP gubernatorial candidate Eddie Rispone. Rispone is taking on Democrat incumbent Governor Jon Bel Edwards.
The Louisiana gubernatorial election first took place on October 12, 2019, but no candidate secured the required majority of votes needed to win. The race is now in a run-off set to take place on November 16.
Donald Trump told the excited crowd, “I’m here for early voting. You’re going out to replace a Radical, liberal Democrat as your governor.”
President Trump is also expected to attend the Alabama LSU football game this weekend to help rally voters as well. The Alabama LSU game is one of the biggest football rivalry matches in College football.
