President Trump was in Tupleo, Mississippi at his rally and called out the Democrats for “their spying” saying that it scared them that he will beat them in 2020.
Hundreds of Trump supporters lined up hours ahead of the event. The temperatures were below freezing the night before outside the arena in Tupelo. Thousands of Trump supporters filled the arena Friday.
During the speech, President Trump called called out “the Democrats, the media, and the deep state” for trying to stop his campaign. He then shouted that there was spying on his campaign.
“We’re here and we’re draining the swamp in Washington. Nothing terrifies Democrats more than the fact than all of their spying, spying! They actually spied on my campaign. Can you believe it? OK, now they were saying, ‘Well we were actually just checking things out.’ The lying, the falsifying the last three years. Plus, before I even announced they were spying. I guess they knew we were going to win, right? But for more than the past more than three years is finally being exposed.”
People braved the cold to see the President and some people even lined up 24 hours in advance.
Last Thursday, Trump brought up the recent reports that Attorney General Bill Barr and John Durham’s former administrative review of the Russia investigation had turned into a “criminal inquiry.”
“It looks like it’s becoming very serious from what I see. Investigate the investigators. Whether it’s Strzok and Page. Whether it’s Clapper and Comey and all of these people. Because terrible things went on for our country. And we have a great Attorney General, highly prestigious man, a very honorable man. And they’ve been looking at it for a long time. I can’t tell you what’s happening. I will tell you this. I think you’re going to see a lot of really bad things. And a lot of people think that, and they know they have problems, because they were very dishonest. And again I leave it all up to the Attorney General. And I leave it all up to the people who are working with the Attorney General who I don’t know. But I will say this, I think you will see things that no one will believe. This was the worst hoax in the history of our country,” Trump said Thursday.
Editor-in-chief of Forbes Media Steve Forbes was recently echoed Trump’s statements on CNBC in India about the current impeachment proceedings and the investigation being carried out by Attorney General Bill Barr.
Steve told the interviewer that impeachment will not happen and then fired off a warning to Democrats for 2020.
Attorney General Barr revealed last week that Durham’s probe had shifted from an administrative review into a criminal investigation. Durham now has the ability to impanel a grand jury and subpoena witnesses.
“We’ll let the chips fall where they may,” Barr said praising Durham’s 35-year record of being bipartisan. In the rare public interview, the Barr backed up John Durham saying that the prosecutor from Connecticut is “a by-the-book kind of guy. He’s thorough and fair. And I’m confident he’s going to get to the bottom of things. I understand he’s making great progress.”
