pop sensation, Olly AlexanderShe will be the UK's representative in the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden next year. The announcement was made during the live final of Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night (December 16), adding a touch of magic to the popular dance show.

Expressing his happiness, Alexander said: “I love Eurovision so much, it's a dream come true.” The singer, who rose to fame with his solo career after fronting the band Years and Years, will perform a song co-written by him and Danny L. Harley, a producer who has a strong track record of hits for artists including Dua Lipa and Charli XCX.

In addition to his musical prowess, Alexander has an impressive acting career, having starred in Channel 4's popular film It's a Sin and appearing in films such as Enter the Void and Gulliver's Travels.

The United Kingdom's representative in the Eurovision 2023 competition, May Muller, came in 25th place. On the other hand, the Swedish 2023 winner Lauren secured the victory with her powerful performance in the song “Tattoo.” Lauren now becomes the second contestant to win Eurovision twice, following in the footsteps of Irish singer Johnny Logan in 1980 and 1987. With anticipation building for Eurovision 2024, Olli Alexander's fans are eagerly awaiting the reveal of the song that will grace the stage in Malmö. Next May.
