Regarding screenings of the film Luck, the 88-year-old director expressed, in an interview with AirMail, his disappointment with the new distribution models in theaters, and expressed his lack of interest in obtaining financing for his projects.

I don't want to have to go out and collect money. It gives me a headache. “But if someone came and called and said, 'We want to support the film,' I would seriously consider it,” the New York director said.
