The Comunicaciones, led by William Cueto, are on the lead after winning the first leg 1-2 on Wednesday, ready to confirm their hometown status and win their first international title since 1983.
Cuito, who came from a goalless draw last Saturday in the quarter-finals of the 2021 Guatemalan soccer Apertura Championship against Iztapa, began their focus on the crucial match on Sunday.
The stadium is expected to be filled with at least 5,000 fans authorized by the authorities to watch the match and support their club. The number would be higher given that the stadium has a capacity of nearly 30,000 people, but restrictions due to COVID-19 have reduced capacity.
For his part, Motagua arrived in Guatemala on Sunday hoping to follow the scoreboard and also on the mission of winning his first CONCACAF Cup.
