The United Kingdom and Ireland will host Euro 2028

UEFA confirmed that Great Britain and Ireland will host the 2028 European Championship, while Italy and Turkey will host the 2032 edition of the tournament.

No surprises

By accepting the joint offer between Italy and Turkey to host the 2032 European Championship last week, and with Turkey’s withdrawal from the 2028 European Championship race, The host country for both tournaments has already been decided by football’s governing body European.

Euro 2028

Türkiye’s withdrawal from the 2028 race remains England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland and Wales As the only joint bidders for that tournament. However, both proposals need final approval from UEFA’s executive committee, which met on Tuesday.

The United Kingdom and Ireland propose the following venues for Euro 2028: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, London (x2), Manchester and Newcastle.

Euro 2032

Euro 2032 will be organized by Italy and Turkey, With five offices in each country. The co-hosts proposed 20 potential sites, with 10 to be selected in October 2026.

The joint nomination was validated last October 4 after Turkey decided to abandon its individual candidacy to organize the 2028 tournament, which will be organized by the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

UEFA announced, “The joint candidates presented 20 potential stadiums to host the tournament, of which 10 will be selected, five for each country, before October 2026.”
