The 1st International Symposium on Social Tourism concluded successfully in Chapadmalal

Undersecretary for Quality, Accessibility and Sustainability for National Tourism, Ines Albergucci, highlighted the “quality of experience sharing” that resulted from the first three-day International Symposium on Social Tourism held in Chapadmalal.

Albergucci highlighted on Radio Telam the participation of exhibitors from Chile, Uruguay and Canada, in addition to local residents and the head of the International Tourism Organization, Isabel Noboa.

“National experiences, social tourism programs at the provincial and municipal levels and relevant social and economic actors in tourism production such as cooperatives, co-operative societies and trade union tourism were appreciated,” he explained.

The official from the team of the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports also said that in the context of the symposium, a book was presented that was specifically promoted by the administration of Minister Matthias Lammens entitled “Tourism as a Right, Chapadmalal and the Reservoir”.

“We presented it with the Undersecretary of Tourism of the Province of Buenos Aires, Soledad Martinez, and Horacio Taccone, advisor to General Pueridón and head of the Tourism Commission, and it is a compilation that we are examining through photographs,” he said. .

“It was three days of great intensity and a lot of work,” Albergucci highlighted, adding that it “allowed us to evaluate it mainly from an academic perspective of course, but also from a historical perspective.”

“This also allows us to have a forward-looking perspective on the importance of tourism activity in our country, but also in the region, tourism as a driver of development, tourism as a transformer of society in different ways.” And of course people’s lives too.”
